Ingredients
-
3 cups cooked turkey, diced or shredded
-
1 can cranberry sauce
-
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
-
1½ cups gravy (leftover or from a packet)
-
½ cup butter, melted
-
2 tablespoons sesame seeds (optional)
-
12 fresh dinner rolls or Hawaiian rolls
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
-
In a pot, heat turkey and gravy until boiling. Remove from heat.
-
Slice rolls horizontally, keeping them connected. Place bottoms in a parchment-lined 9×13 dish.
-
Brush some melted butter on the bottom buns.
-
Spread turkey/gravy mixture evenly over buns.
-
Top with cranberry sauce, then sprinkle mozzarella cheese.
-
Place the top buns back on. Brush with remaining butter and sprinkle sesame seeds (if using).
-
Bake uncovered for 12–15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden.
-
Let rest briefly, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
– Use leftover rotisserie chicken if you don’t have turkey.
– For a sharper flavor, try using provolone or Swiss instead of mozzarella.
– Don’t skip brushing butter on the rolls—it adds flavor and prevents sogginess.
