- 1 box strawberry cake mix
- 1 large egg
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ cup granulated sugar (for rolling)
- 24 chocolate kiss candies (unwrapped)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cake mix, egg, butter, and vanilla extract until a soft dough forms.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls, then coat each in granulated sugar.
- Place dough balls 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft.
- Remove from oven and immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie.
- Let cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.

- Use different flavored kisses like dark or white chocolate for variety.
- Chilling the dough for 15 minutes before baking results in thicker cookies.
