Description
This sweet, smoky, and spicy glazed chicken is marinated in balsamic, grilled to perfection, and brushed with a honey-bacon glaze that’s bold and addictive.
Ingredients
Marinade:
-
4 chicken breasts (or thighs/salmon)
-
⅓ cup balsamic vinegar
-
¾ cup olive or vegetable oil
-
3 tbsp brown sugar
-
2 tbsp steak seasoning
Spicy Honey Bacon Glaze:
-
6 slices beef or turkey bacon, chopped
-
¾ cup honey
-
3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
-
1 tbsp hot sauce (adjust to taste)
Instructions
-
Mix marinade ingredients and marinate chicken for 2–3 days (or salmon for 1–2 hours).
-
Cook bacon until crisp, then set aside. Simmer honey, Worcestershire, and hot sauce. Stir bacon back in to make the glaze.
-
Grill chicken over medium-high heat, 3–5 minutes per side.
-
In the final minutes of grilling, brush with glaze and let it caramelize.
-
Rest 5 minutes, glaze again if desired, and serve.
Notes
-
Reduce hot sauce for a milder glaze.
-
Works great with salmon or thighs.
-
Use fresh herbs or lemon juice for added brightness.
-
Great for meal prep or freezing.
