Ingredients

½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened

½ cup (120g) creamy peanut butter (natural or processed)

½ cup (100g) granulated sugar

½ cup (110g) brown sugar, packed

1 large egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

1¼ cups (160g) all-purpose flour

½ tsp baking soda

½ tsp baking powder

¼ tsp salt

Optional: ½ cup (75g) chopped peanuts or peanut butter chips
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

Cream butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Add egg and vanilla; beat until combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.

Fold in optional mix-ins if using.

Scoop ~2 tbsp dough, roll into balls, and place on baking sheet.

Flatten with a fork in a crisscross pattern.

Bake for 10–12 minutes or until edges are golden and centers are soft.
