These slow cooker street tacos are juicy, flavorful, and incredibly easy to make. Slow-cooked beef is shredded and served in warm tortillas with fresh toppings for an authentic street taco experience.

For the Beef:
- 2–3 lbs beef chuck roast
- 1 tbsp kosher salt
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp oregano
- ¼ cup fresh lime juice
- ¼ cup fresh orange juice
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- ½ cup beef broth

For Serving:
- Small corn tortillas
- Diced white onion
- Fresh cilantro
- Crumbled cotija cheese (optional)
- Lime wedges
- Salsa or hot sauce
Instructions
- Pat the beef chuck roast dry and season it with salt, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, and oregano.
- Place the beef in the slow cooker. Pour in lime juice, orange juice, beef broth, and olive oil.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours or HIGH for 4-5 hours until the beef is tender.
- Remove the beef from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
- Return the shredded beef to the slow cooker to absorb the flavorful juices.
- (Optional) For crispy beef, sear it in a hot skillet for 2-3 minutes.
- Warm the tortillas on a dry skillet or open flame.
- Assemble the tacos by adding shredded beef, diced onions, cilantro, cotija cheese, and a squeeze of lime.
- Serve immediately with salsa or hot sauce.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the beef with the seasonings overnight before slow cooking.
- You can substitute beef chuck roast with brisket or flank steak.
- Adjust the spice level by adding chipotle powder or diced jalapeños.
