  • Food coloring: Red, Blue, Green, Yellow (to create purple, yellow, pink, and blue layers)

Creamy Filling:

  • 8 oz whipped cream cheese

  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk

  • 12 oz Cool Whip


Instructions

1. Prepare the Cakes:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • Prepare cake mixes according to box directions.

  • Divide batter evenly into 4 bowls.

  • Color each bowl:

    • Purple: 6 drops red + 5 drops blue.

    • Yellow: 5 drops yellow.

    • Pink: 6 drops red + 1 drop blue.

    • Blue: 4 drops blue + 2 drops green.

  • Bake each layer in an 8-inch round cake pan for 23-25 minutes.

  • Let cakes cool completely before crumbling.

2. Prepare Creamy Filling:

  • In a medium bowl, mix whipped cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk, and Cool Whip until smooth.

3. Assemble the Trifle:

  • Crumble each cake layer, reserving 1/4 cup of each color for topping.

  • In a trifle dish, layer crumbled purple cake, then creamy filling.

  • Repeat with yellow, pink, and blue layers.

  • Sprinkle reserved cake crumbs on top for decoration.

4. Chill & Serve:

  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow flavors to meld.
