Description

These Crispy Parmesan Mozzarella Cheese Bites are the perfect cheesy snack for parties, game days, or family gatherings. Coated in a flavorful Parmesan-panko mixture, they’re golden, crunchy, and gooey all at once. Fry, bake, or air-fry them for delicious results every time!

Ingredients

  • 12 mozzarella cheese sticks (cut into 3 pieces each, or use mozzarella balls)

  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese (adds flavor and crunch)

  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs (for an airy, crispy texture)

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (for coating the cheese)

  • 2 large eggs, beaten (helps bind the breading)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder (for extra savory flavor)

  • 1 tsp dried oregano (adds earthy goodness)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Vegetable oil (for frying) or cooking spray (for baking)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Cheese: Cut mozzarella sticks into bite-sized pieces. Pat mozzarella balls dry if using. Freeze cheese pieces for at least 30 minutes.

  • Set Up Breading Stations: Prepare three bowls—one with flour, salt, and pepper; one with beaten eggs; and one with Parmesan, panko, garlic powder, and oregano.

  • Coat the Cheese: Dredge cheese in flour, dip in eggs, and coat with the Parmesan-panko mixture. For extra crunch, repeat the egg and breadcrumb coating. Freeze again for 15-20 minutes.

  • Cook the Cheese Bites:

    • Frying: Heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry cheese bites for 1-2 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

    • Baking: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange cheese bites on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spray with cooking spray, and bake for 8-10 minutes until golden and crispy.

  • Serve: Enjoy hot with marinara sauce, ranch, or garlic aioli.

Notes

  • For gluten-free bites, use gluten-free flour and breadcrumbs.

  • You can air-fry the cheese bites at 400°F (200°C) for 6-8 minutes.

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
