- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ cup onion, diced
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)
For the Sauce:
- ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar or honey
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (to thicken)
Instructions
- Cook the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Brown the beef in a large skillet with olive oil over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Sauté garlic, onion, and carrots until fragrant and softened.
- Prepare the sauce by whisking together soy sauce, brown sugar, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes.
- Add the sauce to the beef, followed by the cooked noodles. Stir well.
- Thicken with cornstarch slurry, stirring until the sauce coats everything evenly.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, then serve hot.
