For the Cookies:
- 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp baking powder

- Gel food coloring (pastel shades like pink, blue, yellow, purple)

- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tbsp milk
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- Sprinkles for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg, milk, and vanilla extract, and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until a soft dough forms.
- Divide the dough into 3-4 portions and color each with different pastel food coloring.
- Lightly knead the colored dough together to create a marbled effect. Roll the dough out to ¼-inch thickness on a floured surface.
- Use an egg-shaped cookie cutter to cut out cookies and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Chill for 15 minutes (optional but recommended).
- Bake for 7-9 minutes until the edges turn slightly golden. Let cool completely.
- (Optional) Mix powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk to create a glaze. Drizzle over cookies and add sprinkles. Let set before serving.
