Description
Tender chicken breasts wrapped in smoky, crispy bacon and glazed with maple syrup and brown sugar, then baked and broiled to caramelized perfection.
Ingredients
-
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
-
1 lb turkey or beef bacon
-
¼ cup pure maple syrup
-
4 tbsp light brown sugar
-
½ tsp onion powder
-
½ tsp garlic salt
-
½ tsp black pepper
-
½ tsp paprika
-
¼ tsp chili powder
-
Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with foil.
-
In a bowl, mix maple syrup, onion powder, garlic salt, black pepper, paprika, and chili powder.
-
Brush chicken breasts with maple mixture on all sides.
-
Wrap each chicken breast with 2–3 slices of bacon.
-
Place on baking sheet seam-side down.
-
Bake for 30 minutes or until chicken reaches 165°F.
-
Baste with pan juices, sprinkle brown sugar on top, and broil 3–5 minutes until bacon is crispy.
-
Rest 5 minutes, garnish with parsley, and serve.
Notes
-
Use regular (not thick-cut) bacon for best crispiness.
-
Broil carefully—bacon can burn quickly.
-
Let chicken rest before slicing for maximum juiciness.
-
For spicier flavor, add more chili powder or a pinch of cayenne.
