Description

These Make-Ahead Freezer Breakfast Sandwiches are the ultimate solution for busy mornings! Fluffy baked eggs, melted cheese, and savory sausage patties stacked between English muffins or your favorite bread. Make a big batch, freeze, and enjoy a hot, satisfying breakfast in minutes whenever you need it.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup milk (whole, skim, or dairy-free alternative)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp butter (for greasing the pan)
  • 12 slices of cheddar cheese (or preferred cheese)
  • 12 cooked chicken or beef sausage patties (or turkey sausage/plant-based sausage)
  • 12 English muffins or your favorite bread

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Prepare Eggs: Whisk eggs, milk, salt, and pepper in a large bowl until well combined.
  • Bake the Eggs: Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter. Pour egg mixture into the dish and bake for 20-25 minutes, until fully cooked and set. Let cool for 5-10 minutes.
  • Cook Sausage Patties: Cook sausage patties if not already prepared.
  • Cut and Prepare Eggs: Cut baked eggs into 12 even squares or rounds.
  • Assemble Sandwiches: Place cheese, sausage patty, and egg square between each bread slice.
  • Wrap and Store: Wrap each sandwich tightly in plastic wrap or foil. Store in an airtight container or freezer-safe bag.
  • Freezing: Freeze for up to 2 months.
  • Reheating: Microwave for 1-2 minutes or heat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes.

Notes

  • To prevent soggy bread, toast English muffins before assembling.
  • Let the eggs cool completely before building sandwiches.
  • Feel free to customize with different breads, cheeses, or sausage alternatives.
