- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- ½ cup chicken broth
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken: Pat dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and lemon zest.
- Sear the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Make the Sauce: In the same pan, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds. Add chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits.
- Simmer: Return chicken to the pan, spoon sauce over it, and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
