  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chicken: Pat dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and lemon zest.
  • Sear the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  • Make the Sauce: In the same pan, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds. Add chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits.
  • Simmer: Return chicken to the pan, spoon sauce over it, and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and enjoy with rice, pasta, or veggies.
