  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • ½ cup marinara sauce (low sugar)
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 slices turkey bacon (cooked & chopped)
  • ½ cup pineapple chunks
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Sear for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • Transfer chicken to a baking dish. Spread marinara sauce over each piece, then top with mozzarella, turkey bacon, and pineapple chunks.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  • For a crispy topping, broil for 2 minutes at the end.
  • Garnish with fresh basil and serve immediately.
