  • Diet: Halal

Description

Juicy bone-in grilled chicken breasts glazed in a tangy, creamy Alabama white barbecue sauce. Smoky, bold, and packed with Southern flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large bone-in, skin-on chicken breasts (about 1 lb each)

  • 1/4 cup olive oil

  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt

  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper

  • 4 cups white barbecue sauce (homemade or store-bought)

Instructions

  • Prepare a double batch of white barbecue sauce.

  • Marinate chicken in 2 cups of sauce for 4 hours or overnight.

  • Preheat grill to high heat.

  • Remove chicken, rinse and pat dry.

  • Brush chicken with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

  • Grill skin-side down for 2–3 minutes, flip, and cook another 2 minutes.

  • Move to indirect heat (425°F), brush with sauce, cover and cook 5 minutes. Repeat brushing two more times.

  • Finish grilling 10–20 minutes until internal temp reaches 160–162°F.

  • Let rest 5 minutes, then serve with extra sauce.

Notes

  • Always reserve extra sauce for glazing and serving—do not reuse marinade.

  • Sauce improves after chilling for a few hours or overnight.

  • Bone-in chicken stays juicier than boneless.

  • Great served with coleslaw, corn, or roasted veggies.

  • Prep Time: 4 hours (includes marinating)
