For the Chicken Filling:
  • 500g cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 celery stem, finely chopped
  • 1 green onion, sliced
  • 75g walnuts, chopped
  • 3 tbsp finely chopped dill pickles
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
For the Creamy Sauce:
  • 160g whole egg mayonnaise
  • 160g sour cream (or Greek yogurt)
  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¾ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
For the Sandwich:
  • 20 slices of white sandwich bread
  • Salted butter for spreading

Instructions

  • Shred the Chicken – Finely shred cooked chicken using your hands or a stand mixer.
  • Make the Sauce – Whisk mayonnaise, sour cream, mustard, lemon juice, and seasonings in a bowl.
  • Combine Ingredients – Mix chicken, celery, green onion, walnuts, pickles, and dill into the sauce.
  • Prepare the Bread – Butter the bread slices lightly for extra richness.
  • Assemble the Sandwiches – Spread the chicken mixture on one slice, top with another, and cut as desired.
  • Serve & Enjoy – Serve immediately or refrigerate before cutting for cleaner slices.
