Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz pasta (fettuccine, linguine, or spaghetti)
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled & deveined
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ½ cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp paprika
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- Red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
- Season shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Sauté shrimp in butter and olive oil over medium heat for 2 minutes per side until pink. Remove from pan.
- Make the sauce: In the same pan, sauté garlic for 30 seconds, then add chicken broth, heavy cream, and parmesan. Simmer until thickened.
- Combine everything: Return shrimp to the pan, add pasta, and toss to coat. Adjust sauce consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
- Garnish with parsley and extra parmesan. Serve warm!
Notes
- Use freshly grated parmesan for a smoother sauce.
- Avoid overcooking shrimp—2 minutes per side is enough.
- Adjust sauce consistency by adding reserved pasta water.
