Description

This Garlic Parmesan Shrimp Pasta is a creamy and flavorful dish made with juicy shrimp, rich parmesan garlic sauce, and tender pasta. It’s an easy, restaurant-quality meal that’s ready in just 30 minutes. Perfect for weeknight dinners, special occasions, or when you need a comforting bowl of pasta.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz pasta (fettuccine, linguine, or spaghetti)
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  • Season shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  • Sauté shrimp in butter and olive oil over medium heat for 2 minutes per side until pink. Remove from pan.
  • Make the sauce: In the same pan, sauté garlic for 30 seconds, then add chicken broth, heavy cream, and parmesan. Simmer until thickened.
  • Combine everything: Return shrimp to the pan, add pasta, and toss to coat. Adjust sauce consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
  • Garnish with parsley and extra parmesan. Serve warm!

Notes

  • Use freshly grated parmesan for a smoother sauce.
  • Avoid overcooking shrimp—2 minutes per side is enough.
  • Adjust sauce consistency by adding reserved pasta water.
