  • ¾ cup milk
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • Dash of pepper and nutmeg
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 3 tbsp butter, cut into slices
  • Paprika for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and butter an 8×8-inch casserole dish.
  • Spread the shredded potatoes evenly in the dish.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine milk, heavy cream, salt, dry mustard, pepper, and nutmeg. Heat until warm but not boiling.
