Description

These Crumbl-style sugar cookies are soft, thick, and topped with a rich, creamy frosting. With no chilling required, they’re quick and easy to make at home!


Ingredients

  • For the Cookies: 1 cup unsalted butter (softened), 1 cup granulated sugar, 1 large egg, 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract, ½ tsp almond extract (optional), 2 tbsp heavy cream, 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour, 1 tsp baking powder, ½ tsp salt.
  • For the Frosting: ½ cup unsalted butter (softened), 2 cups powdered sugar, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 2 tbsp heavy cream, pink food coloring (optional).

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add egg, vanilla, almond extract, and heavy cream; mix well.
  • In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture.
  • Scoop dough into large balls, flatten slightly, and place on the baking sheet.
  • Bake for 9-11 minutes, then let cool completely.
  • For frosting, beat butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and heavy cream until smooth. Add pink food coloring if desired.
  • Frost cooled cookies and let set before serving.

Notes

  • For the best flavor, chill frosted cookies for 15 minutes before serving.
  • Almond extract enhances the bakery-style taste but can be omitted.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 3 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
