Description

This Crockpot Pierogi Casserole with Kielbasa is a creamy, cheesy, and hearty dish perfect for a quick and easy dinner. Made with frozen pierogies, smoky kielbasa, cheddar cheese, and a rich cream sauce, this slow cooker meal is pure comfort food.

  • 3 packages (16 oz each) frozen cheddar pierogies
  • 1 lb kielbasa, sliced
  • 4 cups chicken broth, divided
  • 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional garnishes: chopped green onions, parsley, crispy bacon bits

Instructions

  • Grease the crockpot with non-stick spray.
  • Pour 3 cups of chicken broth into the crockpot.
  • Add the frozen pierogies and sliced kielbasa.
  • Sprinkle ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  • Cover and cook on HIGH for 3-4 hours or LOW for 6 hours.
  • About 30 minutes before serving, heat the cream cheese with 1 cup of chicken broth until smooth.
  • Stir the cream cheese mixture into the crockpot.
  • Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of cheddar cheese on top and let it melt for another 30 minutes.
  • Stir before serving and garnish as desired.

  • For extra flavor, brown the kielbasa in a skillet before adding it to the crockpot.
