  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme (or ½ tsp dried)
  • 4 cups vegetable or chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream (or coconut milk for dairy-free)
  • 1 tbsp flour (or cornstarch for gluten-free)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Melt butter in a pot over medium heat. Add onions and garlic, sauté until soft.
  • Add mushrooms, thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook until mushrooms are browned.
  • Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  • Pour in broth, simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Reduce heat, add cream, and stir until heated through.
  • Blend for a smooth texture (optional).
  • Add lemon juice, garnish with parsley, and serve hot.
