- 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- ½ cup chicken or vegetable broth
- Juice of ½ lemon
Instructions
- Heat olive oil and butter in a pan over medium heat.
- Add shrimp, season with salt, pepper, paprika, and red pepper flakes, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds.
- Pour in chicken broth and simmer for 2 minutes.
- Lower heat and stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
- Return the shrimp to the pan, stir to coat, and add lemon juice.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
