- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
- 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp smoked paprika (optional)
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- 1 cup frozen corn (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook the Beef: Brown the ground beef and diced onion in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Mix the Sauce: Stir in garlic, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, cream of mushroom soup, and sour cream. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Assemble: Spread the beef mixture evenly in the baking dish. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheese over the top. Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer.
- Bake: Bake for 25-30 minutes or until tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
- Add More Cheese: Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheese over the top and bake for another 5 minutes until melted and bubbly.
- Serve & Enjoy: Let the casserole sit for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired.
