Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 medium onion, chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 45 medium potatoes, thinly sliced

  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • ½ cup beef broth or water

  • ¼ cup milk (optional, for creaminess)

  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet. Add ground beef and cook until browned.

  • Add chopped onion and garlic; cook until softened.

  • Transfer beef mixture to the baking dish.

  • Layer sliced potatoes over the beef. Season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika.

  • Sprinkle cheddar and Parmesan cheese over the top.

  • Pour broth around the edges. Drizzle milk on top if using.

  • Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.

  • Remove foil and bake an additional 15–20 minutes until golden and bubbly.

  • Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired.

  • Slice potatoes thin for even cooking.

  • Add spinach, mushrooms, or peas for extra veggies.
