  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup frozen or canned corn
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • ⅓ cup whole milk
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ cup cooked turkey bacon, crumbled (optional)
  • 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • In a skillet, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess grease.
  • Stir in cream of mushroom soup, corn, ½ cup cheddar cheese, milk, sour cream, and seasonings.
  • Spread the beef mixture evenly in the baking dish. Sprinkle ½ cup cheese on top.
  • Arrange tater tots in a single layer over the mixture.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes, until the tater tots are golden and crispy.
  • Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of cheese and bake for another 5 minutes until melted.
  • Let it cool for 5 minutes, garnish, and serve warm.

  • For extra crunch, broil the casserole for 2 minutes at the end.
  • Add jalapeños or chili powder for a spicy kick.
