For the Beef and Pepper Filling:

  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced

  • 2 bell peppers (any color), thinly sliced

  • 1 onion, thinly sliced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

For the Sauce:

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce

  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce

  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated

  • 2 tsp brown sugar

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil (for cooking)

For Serving:

  • 2 cups cooked white or brown rice

  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)

  • Sesame seeds (optional)


Instructions

  • Prepare Ingredients: Slice beef thinly against the grain, slice bell peppers and onions, mince garlic, and grate ginger.

  • Make Sauce: In a bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

  • Cook Beef: Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook beef for 3–4 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.

  • Cook Vegetables: In the same skillet, add onions and bell peppers. Stir-fry for 4–5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for an additional minute.

  • Combine: Return beef to skillet. Pour sauce over beef and veggies. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring to coat.

  • Serve: Serve over rice, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate beef in soy sauce, garlic, and sesame oil for 30 minutes before cooking.

  • Customize by adding broccoli, snap peas, or zucchini.
