This no-bake treat combines the nostalgic flavor of banana pudding with the chewy crunch of classic Rice Krispie treats. Featuring vanilla wafers, banana pudding mix, and a gooey marshmallow base, these bars are perfect for parties, potlucks, or anytime you need a quick and satisfying dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4½ cups Rice Krispies cereal

  • 24 vanilla wafer cookies (14 for mixing, 10 for topping)

  • 4 tbsp salted butter

  • 10 oz marshmallows

  • 1.7 oz (½ box) instant banana pudding mix

For the Optional Vanilla Glaze:

  • ⅓ cup powdered sugar

  • 1 tbsp heavy cream or milk

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Grease an 8-inch square pan and large mixing bowl.

  • Add Rice Krispies and crushed 14 vanilla wafers to the bowl.

  • Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and pudding mix. Stir until 75% melted, then remove from heat and continue stirring until smooth.

  • Pour marshmallow mixture over cereal and stir until coated.

  • Press mixture into prepared pan. Top with the remaining crushed vanilla wafers. Let set for 30 minutes.

  • Mix glaze ingredients and drizzle over treats (optional). Let glaze set for 30 more minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • Use instant banana pudding mix (not cook-and-serve).

  • Lightly grease your spatula to prevent sticking.

  • Treats can be stored in an airtight container for up to 4 days or frozen for longer storage.
