These Asparagus Puff Pastry Bundles are a crispy, cheesy, and elegant appetizer perfect for brunch, parties, or holiday gatherings. Made with flaky puff pastry, fresh asparagus, and melted cheese, they are easy to prepare and absolutely delicious!

- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 12 asparagus spears, trimmed
- ½ cup shredded Gruyère or mozzarella cheese
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 1 tsp dried Italian herbs (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the puff pastry by rolling it out and cutting it into 6 squares.
- Add the cheese by sprinkling shredded cheese in the center of each square.
- Assemble the bundles by placing two asparagus spears diagonally on each square. Fold the pastry around the asparagus, sealing the edges gently.
- Brush with egg wash and season with garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Italian herbs.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!
Notes
- For extra crunch, sprinkle sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning on top before baking.
- If using thick asparagus spears, blanch them in boiling water for 1-2 minutes before baking.
- Pair with garlic aioli, balsamic glaze, or honey mustard for dipping.
