Description

Ambrosia Salad is a classic, creamy fruit salad made with pineapple, mandarin oranges, marshmallows, coconut, and a sweet, fluffy dressing. It’s perfect for holidays, potlucks, and family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (20 oz) pineapple tidbits, drained
  • 1 can (15 oz) mandarin oranges, drained
  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 ½ cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 jar (10 oz) maraschino cherries, drained and halved
  • ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

For the Creamy Dressing:

  • 1 cup sour cream (or Greek yogurt)
  • 1 cup whipped topping (Cool Whip)

Instructions

  • Drain the fruit thoroughly to remove excess liquid. Pat dry with a paper towel.
  • Make the dressing by mixing sour cream and whipped topping in a large bowl until smooth.
  • Combine the ingredients by gently folding in the drained fruit, coconut, marshmallows, and nuts (if using).
  • Chill the salad for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to blend.
  • Serve cold and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, toast the coconut before adding it.
  • For a healthier version, use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream.
  • Best when chilled for at least an hour before serving.
